Senior Corporate Associate

Morse, a top regional business law firm, is currently seeking a highly skilled, senior-level corporate associate to join the Firm's Waltham office.

Successful candidates will have: 

  • 7 - 10 years of experience representing clients in a range of corporate, securities and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, financings (debt and equity) and general corporate matters.
  • Experience with formation and funding of emerging growth companies, private equity investments, general corporate counseling and a wide variety of transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to first-chair transactions both in terms of drafting and negotiation.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Commitment to provide high quality client service.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger collaborative team and to mentor and develop less experienced team members. 
  • Experience in a robust corporate law practice required.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Corporate Paralegal

We are seeking a full time Corporate Paralegal with 3-5 years of corporate paralegal experience related to corporate entity formation and maintenance, debt and equity financings, M&A transactions, corporate governance (board and stockholder matters), securities and Blue Sky filings, conducting UCC and lien searches, preparing and filing UCC filings, due diligence (including data rooms), to join our successful corporate practice. The successful candidate will: be highly organized and able to multi-task to complete projects on time; respond well to constructive feedback and work well under pressure; and have excellent interpersonal skills.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.  Sophisticated and challenging work in a genuinely pleasant environment.

Operations Assistant (Receptionist / Administrative Assistant) – Afternoon/Evening Hours

We are seeking a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant for afternoons and evenings. The hours will be 1:00 pm – 7:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This organized, attentive and friendly individual will be primarily responsible for managing our reception area in the afternoon and evening hours, including answering phones, transferring calls, greeting guests, providing general assistance to attorneys, and light clerical work. Additionally, this position will support the Director of Operations in tasks and projects relevant to Firm business. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • High School degree or equivalent; college desirable
  • Previous experience answering phones in a professional office environment preferred
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and proactively within a team environment
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
