A Registered Patent Attorney and former Patent Examiner, Dennis specializes in patent prosecution and technology transfer primarily in the life sciences.

Dennis has over 15 years of intellectual property law experience covering a wide range of biotechnology and chemical practice areas in the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical compounds/formulations, medical devices/implants, nucleotide and peptide sequences, oncological treatments, neurology, osteology, dermatology, metallic medicine, cosmetics, detergents, textiles, polymers, nanostructures/nanomaterials, surgical methods, surfactants, liposomes/vesicles, dental compositions/devices, electrochemical devices, materials science, diagnostics, pesticides, immunology, optics, and tissue/biomedical engineering. He advises clients with respect to the preparation and prosecution of both U.S. and foreign/PCT patent applications, conducting due diligence evaluations, drafting validity and freedom-to-operate opinions, and intellectual property commercialization.

Prior to joining Morse, Dennis was a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, including serving over six years as a Primary Examiner (full signatory authority) in the biotechnology and chemical art areas. While studying for his dual graduate degrees in chemistry and law, Dennis worked at the New York State Science & Technology Law Center where he led technology transfer teams that helped entrepreneurs, start-ups, corporations, universities, and research institutions commercialize their intellectual property portfolios. Before law school, Dennis worked as a Registered Patent Agent at an intellectual property boutique firm.

Outside the office, Dennis enjoys training and competing in Olympic weightlifting and traveling the world with his wife and two children.
