Noted Trial Attorney Joins Firm as Chair of Business Litigation GroupFebruary 12, 2015
WALTHAM, MA — Noted litigator John Tumilty has joined the Waltham-based law firm of Morse as a Member and will chair the Firm’s newly-expanded Business Litigation Group. Formerly a partner at Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP, Tumilty has earned a reputation as a particularly skillful litigator in handling complex business and commercial disputes for companies, partnerships, and individuals.
Tumilty described his recent move, “as a rare opportunity to direct the development of a practice group in such a well-respected firm, while still concentrating on the day-to-day needs of my clients. I look forward to the challenges inherent in such a role.”
“While we have long handled litigation in employment, tax, and certain intellectual property matters,” Managing Partner Lisa Warren commented, “adding John’s experience and expertise to the Firm immediately gives us great strength in business and general commercial litigation involving such issues as breach of contract, unfair trade practices, and securities disputes as we continue to expand our litigation capabilities. John’s experience with merger-related litigation also complements our robust mergers and acquisitions practice.
Morse focuses exclusively on the core legal services that businesses need to succeed. The law firm assists businesses of all sizes — from start-ups to Fortune 1000 companies — in the areas of corporate law, intellectual property, licensing and strategic alliances, employment, taxation and litigation.
