Martin is a member of the firm’s Patent practice. His practice focuses on strategic development of large patent portfolios, IP landscape analysis, patent strategy, patent prosecution of domestic and foreign applications, freedom-to-operate opinions, patentability analysis, and general patent counseling and planning.
Prior to joining Morse, Martin was a partner of Cesari & McKenna. Previously, Martin served as a senior patent counsel at International Flavors & Fragrances, a Fortune 500 chemical company, and an associate at multiple Boston area intellectual property law firms. Before his career as an attorney, Martin was a drug discovery researcher at Pfizer for over a decade. There he gained extensive hands-on experience with small molecule synthesis, combinatorial chemistry, chemical processes, and pharmaceutical formulations.
In general, Martin’s technical expertise covers a wide range of technologies, including chemistry, life sciences and pharmaceuticals, material sciences, food sciences, beauty and personal care products, and household cleaning products.
