Jim is an experienced patent attorney whose practice focuses on U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, opinion work, and client counseling in the low-tech/high-tech Patent practice of the Firm.
Jim currently works with a variety of clients in a number of fields including, electrical, mechanical, software, and consumer goods. He has extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of both U.S. and foreign patent applications, as well as in researching and analyzing legal and technical issues, and in drafting opinions. Jim is also proficient in assisting with various phases of IP licensing, litigation and counseling, including patent, copyright, trade dress, and trademark litigation.
Jim has practiced patent law as an in-house counsel at a consumer electronics, entertainment, and licensing company. In addition, Jim has been associated with several boutique IP law firms.
Outside the Office
Outside of the office, Jim enjoys spending time with family, watching movies (he is an avid Home Theater Enthusiast), gaming, and hanging out with friends.
