A seasoned member of the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group, Tim primarily concentrates his practice in the area of debt finance.  Tim has regularly represented banks, commercial finance companies and alternative lenders in various commercial loan transactions.

Tim’s experience also encompasses representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in acquisition finance transactions and other borrowers in a variety of stand-alone credit facilities.  Tim also has significant experience in distressed debt transactions, work-outs and restructurings.

In his practice, Tim has found that his MBA degree affords him the ability to better understand the underlying business fundamentals of the borrower and the lender’s underwriting perspective.  Prior to joining Morse, Tim practiced in the Boston office of a large international law firm.

An enthusiastic Patriots and Red Sox fan, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, and tries to get in a round of golf whenever he can.

Represented a commercial finance company in the debtor-in-possession financing to a retailer and subsequent sale of the assets of such retailer to a private company, which transaction was named “Distressed M&A Deal of the Year (Between $10MM to $25MM)” for the Acquisition of Frederick’s of Hollywood by Authentic Brands Group, 2016.

Represented private equity sponsor in the acquisition financing of charcoal maker Royal Oak.

Represented a commercial finance company in a term loan financing to a lumber manufacturer, which term loan was secured by a first lien on certain equipment and real estate and a second lien on working capital assets.

Represented a bank in a term loan financing to a designer and retailer of maternity apparel, which term loan was secured by a first lien on intellectual property and a second lien on working capital assets.

Represented an alternative lender in a financing to a tax refund-processing platform company, which loan was secured by the company’s rights to individual taxpayer’s tax returns.

Represented a commercial finance company in the debtor-in-possession financing to a manufacturer of men’s suits, which transaction was named “Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Over $100 million to $1 billion)” for the Chapter 11 reorganization of HMX, LLC, Global M&A Network’s Turnaround Atlas Award, 2014.

Represented private equity sponsor in the acquisition financing of a regional tire distributor.

Represented a commercial finance company in a revolving credit facility to a regional department store.

Represented a bank in a revolving credit facility to an auto parts wholesaler.

Represented a commercial finance company in a term loan and revolving credit facility to a manufacturer of men’s apparel.
